About Gordon
Founder and CEO of Berlin based electronic music label Project: Mooncircle, Gordon Gieseking is a man whose passion for music and vision knows no bounds. Since the genesis of the label over eleven years ago, his self made musical empire has taken on a life of its own giving birth a number of offspring projects. In 2007 Gordon launched the music platform ‘Finest Ego’ and co- founded the dub techno label Project Squared in 2009.
Being the driving force behind his ever expanding imprints, he also works as the Label & Distribution manager at HHV Handels GmbH. With an eclectic catalogue of music in his hands his license agreement roster hosts a number of high profile brands such as Nike, Red Bull, Vodafone, Universal, Warner, and many more.
Branching beyond label work Gordon is a regular moderator at BLN.FM and Red Bull Music Academy Radio. With his ever expansive résumé and experience within the music business he is a highly sought after teacher. Lecturing at University of the Arts – UDK / DigiMediaL in Berlin and recently giving talks at Rotterdam’s BUMA Music Conference as well as for the European Music Conference in Warsaw 2012, he endeavours to share his experiences and help others to thrive within the industry.
Being a DJ from an early age and where is passion for music first took flight, he has made mixes for international tastemaker publications such as Earmilk (USA/Canada) , Big Up Magazine, Pixelatique, Inverted Audio, Electronic Explorations (UK), URB Magazine as well as radio stations like BBC Radio 6 Music, FM4, PULS (ARD/BR) & RadioEins (RBB). Performing under his own name and one half of the ‘Finest Ego Sound System’, he’s supported some greats like Kryptic Minds, Robot Koch, Mike Slott, fLako, Gang Starr & John Robinson. Recently performing at the established Boiler Room | London, Sonar, My head is Dubby & Satta Outside Festival.
Project Mooncircle and it’s prodigies emphasis on creative artwork spans from Gordons own talent as a graphic artist. Beta Bodega Coalition, Subversiv Records, Amacs Skateboards, Universal Music, Zoo York, Warp Records, Tres Records, Ninja Tune, Planet Mu & Botanica del Jibaro have all called on him for his striking creations.
